It's Friday!

And here comes the next Freebie!

Wait, backstory!
'Cause I'm long winded and it's my blog so I can babble before I fill you in! ha!

A few weeks ago when I was sick (again) and feeling sorry for myself (again) and plagued with insomnia(again), I found myself blog stalking in the wee hours of the morning.

How I ended up HERE, I do not know. But I couldn't have been happier because I love all things apron and they were giving this away:

Too cute!

Apparently late night surfing pays off, because I won it. Yay me! But no, I'm not that generous, you don't get this one, I love it too much. But it inspired me with a new apron pattern, so it's not a total loss for you.

So what do you get?

This:

My new favorite apron!
(sorry the pictures stink. This is what happens when you have your kids taking pictures because you neglected to have your husband do so. dang.)
I am loving the green one so much (and it's getting so much use) that I needed another of the same style. And I'm in love with damask again, so I made myself a fun black and white.

Sophisticated damask, Sassy Ruffle. Thank heaven for aprons that make cooking fun!

Same rules apply to snag this little baby! Leave a comment for entry.

If you're feeling super helpful, you can mention your favorite meal to help me get out of the dinner time rut that I seem to have stuck myself in again. Because the kids don't like that I use cayenne to boost myself out of that rut. I don't know why.

They could all feel their tongues again within 48hrs. It wasn't that bad.

Extra entry for being a follower and for blogging about this freebie, please leave a separate comment for EACH entry.

Enter until Thursday August 6th at midnight MST. Winner will be announced next Friday August 7th along with the next Freebie!

Ohmygosh! Those aprons are adorable. I must have one!

Recipe: It's super simple and easy and the kids love it (which around here is a big thing). I even let Abby make it one night and she was so excited.(she's 3)

2 packages of frozen burritos
2 cans of Enchilada sauce
Cheddar Cheese

Arrange the burritos in 2 9x13 casserole dishes and pour the sauce over the top and bake at 350 for about an hour. Top with cheese and bake for a few minutes untl melted.

Those are the cutest aprons! I might even have to start cooking if I win! ;)

I just had surgery so the best meal for me is grits and butter, but that doesn't do it for everyone! However, as a kid my favorite dinner was Wheat Hearts/Cream of Wheat with chocolate ice cream. Hey, it's got everything - grains, dairy, sugar!

What an adorable apron. I'd love to win it!

My favorite recipe also has cayenne pepper in it because it is also my favorite spice. :) My niece cooked it for us this week: black bean fajitas. So yummy.

Your apron is beautiful, such nice work and for pictures taken by kiddos they're not bad at all. My family lives in a warm climate so grilled meals are a favorite...quick and easy kabobs are aways a hit; marinate your favorite meat (or not) and whatever veggies are in season in a store-bought marinade, one you throw together, or salad dressing grill until the meat is cooked and the veggies are the right consistency. Serve with rice (we like quick cook brown). Yummy and sooooo easy!

Catey, Love the apron so stinking cute!! Lately at my house homeade pizza has been the thing. I use my moms dough recipe. I think you already have it. If not let me know it is the best!!

Cute aprons! They are great!

As for the dinner rut, I find myself in that one also... One of our quick favorites homemade stir fry/chow mein. A few carrots, pea pods, zucchini, broccoli, and whatever other veggies you have lying around (we also like water chestnuts and cauliflower) and some chicken. Mix all that up with a little soy sauce, ginger powder and, if you have it, sesame oil and it makes a great meal on top of rice.
For chow mein, cook the noodles and then add equal parts soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil and a half part sugar for the sauce, it's delicious and quick!

If you are interested and need any ingredients, I always keep extra on hand especially for those rut nights!

I want it, I want it, I want it!!

A very easy recipe I throw together.
Some romaine lettuce, cucumber and grilled chicken with lite caesar dressing. So simple, I know, but that's the kind of person I am! (Also, I guess I need your recipe for vegetable lasagna, your kids always rave about it)

That is an ADORABLE apron!! Maybe if I had a cute apron I might actually cook, hmm, there's a thought!
So my sister found your blog and introduced me to it a few weeks ago. Unfortunately I didn't write down the website and when I tried googling it, no luck :( Then today, I was talking to my sister and asked her to forward me the link. She did it and what do I find, but a giveway! Whoo Hoo!!
I think I know what I'm going to be doing this weekend though, catching up on your blog. Looking forward to it!

Kelsey + Damask= no money in Nick's wallet :)
Didn't I pick that out?!!

You know the only thing I make is my Sweet Potato soup. Damn good it is.

And I'll BLOG about it!

So Cute! I've been craving soup lately, but it's too hot for soup (Justin tells me that almost daily), so we've been doing a lot of Mexican, but definitely minus the spice :o) We had taco salad last night and I LOVED it! I've been dreaming of lasagna too...love food. I don't have lots of original ideas-maybe one day I will :o)

Rheanna said...

Oh yeah, and of course I'm a follower of your blog-how could I not!

Love the apron! So cute! Hmmm...recipe:

Ranch Chicken
2 cans of cream of chicken (you could do any cream of soup really)
1 8oz package of cream cheese
1 packet of ranch dressing mix
12 chicken tenders (thawed)

Mix it all together and put in the crockpot and cook on high for 3 hours or until chicken is no longer pink. You can then serve it over rice. So Yummy! :)

Cute Apron. I need it:) Ryan says he does all of the cooking around here:)

Sticky chicken- Easy peesy- Boil some boneless, skinless chicken, shred it and then mix it with equal amounts of apricot jam and BBQ sauce to your liking. Serve with rice..

I have a link on my blog to yours:)

I better freakin' win!

Awesome!
I could totally use an apron as I am too cheap to buy one and too inexperienced to make one!

I would LOVE that apron bc I don't own ANY cute ones.
Chicken tacos are super easy. Throw boneless frozen chicken in the crockpot, top w/ a jar of picante sauce or salsa, cook, shred, and serve w/ fav toppings!

I love the apron!!! The only apron I have is one I got from my wedding and it is a horrible hunting theme....need I say more? I DESPERATELY need one of your aprons!

Dinner idea: Taco Salad. Mmmmm...I'll be making this tomorrow. Another great idea is to do make chicken caesar salad and put it in a tortilla for Chicken Caesar Salad Wraps. And they are surprisingly delicious.

I love your aprons (so does my husband). They are so cute.

Here is my recipe idea for you. I am super low key when it comes to dinner:
Sloppy Joes
1 lb hamburger
1 can sloppy joe sauce (we like manwich best)
As many buns as you need.
Brown your hamburger, dump in the sauce, toast the buns, enjoy. We also like them with tator tots.

ok... which recipe to tell you... we will go with super duper easy and the oh so delicious chicken roll ups. (you will probably want to double or triple this)
makes 8
8 oz cream cheese (I cut it back to 6, but if you love it creamy go with 8)
3 (I cut back to 2)Tablespoons butter
1-2(depending on size) cooked and chopped or shredded chicken breast(s)
1 Can cresent rolls

cream together cream cheese and butter
mix in chicken breast(s)
place large spoonful in center of one cresent roll dough and wrap with dough...repeat 8 times
bake at 350 until golden brown (10-15 mins)

What a cute apron! I love the black and white. :)

I get pretty lazy with dinner (and I don't even have kids!), so my husband and I are regular burrito and taco eaters. We'll buy ground beef, and he'll cook it all up with his mixture of seasonings, and we'll just make tacos and burritos as needed. :) Easy.
