The big first birthday bash

Yay!  More pictures!  That deserves a round of applause.

And you thought you saw all of it yesterday.  pshaw.

Bonus-we figured out that the camera settings were off, so the pictures from the big birthday party are significantly less dark than the actual birthday pictures.
One day I'll read the manual.  Maybe.

I guess the funny part is that the "big" birthday party is less than twice the size of our "little" birthday party.  Grandparents, a couple of uncles an aunt and two cousins.  Still good.

I have to share this first-the typical view of these two boys at Sunday dinner.....Sam stuffing his face and Cole looking around in shock/fear/bewilderment at the craziness that is my family.

And what's a birthday without balloons

an uncle to tease you with your balloons

way too many cupcakes

and a sibling attempting to steal your glory?

It's all a bunch of high flying fun no matter what.

But really, what would the big first birthday bash be without the cake?
(it was all polkadots, but the frosting on the sides actually melted.  it was a little tiny bit warm out.)

This time we didn't let him grab the candle.  Good parenting award!
